CHURCH SERVICE TO CLOSE THE FESTIVAL
The media and the public are invited to attend the closing service of the Caribbean Carnival 2016 Festival at the St James Cathedral, August 7, 2016 at 4.30 p.m.
The Cathedral welcomes visitors of all faiths. It will be an Anglican Evensong Service that will be celebrated. This is a Free Event.There is a half-hour organ recital prior to the service at 4pm and everyone is welcome to attend.
The Church is located in downtown Toronto at 65 Church Street, near the St Lawrence Market. Parking is limited behind the church, however, street parking is readily available on Sunday afternoons.
About Toronto Caribbean Carnival
The Toronto Caribbean Carnival is an exciting three-week cultural explosion of Caribbean music, cuisine, and revelry as well as visual and performing arts. It is a major international event and the largest cultural festival of its kind in North America. As Carnival is an international cultural phenomenon, the city of Toronto and the Greater Toronto region will come alive with the pulsating rhythms and melodies of Calypso, Soca, Salsa, Zouk, Reggae, Chutney, Steel Pan and Brass Bands celebrating the Carnival of the Americas. The Festival Management Committee oversees the running of North America's largest outdoor festival.
